Plain-English explanation
MMS explains medical ideas in everyday language first, then adds the detail that helps you ask better questions. We avoid jargon for its own sake, but we also avoid vague answers that tell you nothing.
The short answer
Breathing high-concentration oxygen inside a pressurised chamber.
What that actually means
Inside a hyperbaric chamber the air pressure is raised while you breathe oxygen. That allows more oxygen to dissolve into the blood. HBOT has recognised medical uses, but many wellness claims extend beyond established indications.
Why someone might ask about it
Recovery support. That is a reason to learn more, not proof that this treatment is the right answer for you.
Where it may fit
HBOT has established uses for specific conditions. Evidence for general rejuvenation, anti-ageing or performance claims is much less certain.
When a professional needs to take over
Ear or sinus pressure injury can occur A qualified healthcare professional should review the diagnosis or goal, your medical history, medicines, risks, alternatives and the exact product, device or procedure before any personalised decision is made.
Still deciding what this means for you?
Ask Ling to help you organise the concern or goal behind your interest, then take the useful questions into a doctor discussion. No treatment is selected here.
What happens during the visit?
Pressure safety and indication-specific screening come before the chamber session itself.
Ear, sinus, lung, medication and fire-safety considerations are reviewed.
The chamber pressure is gradually increased while the patient equalises ear pressure.
Oxygen is breathed for the prescribed period under staff supervision.
Pressure is gradually returned to normal and symptoms are checked afterward.
Important: HBOT protocols vary by indication. General wellness sessions should not be presented as equivalent to established hospital indications.
